LEARNING

Science & Humantities
Each term, students study a Science or Humanities unit from the Victorian Curriculum.

They explore the subject through hands-on experiments, projects, presentations, and learning expos.

Physical Education

Students have one 40-minute Physical Education session per week.

The program develops fundamental movement skills, coordination, and fitness.

Students learn teamwork, fair play, and sportsmanship through games and activities.

Sessions promote healthy lifestyles, physical confidence, and enjoyment of movement.
Art

Students have one 40-minute Visual Arts session per week.

Visual Arts helps students see the world in new ways and explore different ideas.

Students learn about artists, designers, and their work.

They develop skills to create, think about, and improve their own artwork.

Visual Arts helps students understand different cultures and ideas.

Our annual Art Show brings the school community together to celebrate students’ creativity, imagination, and artistic achievements.


Music

LOTE - Italian

Students have one 1-hour Italian lesson every fortnight.

Italian is taught through co-learning, where teachers and students explore the language together.

Students use Italian in everyday contexts to develop practical communication skills.

The program builds confidence, curiosity, and enjoyment in learning another language.


Library

Students have one 40-minute library session per week.
-
They develop independent reading habits by borrowing books.
-
Students explore a variety of authors, genres, and literary styles.
-
They learn library skills, including locating, selecting, and borrowing books.

Library sessions foster a love of literature, critical thinking, and lifelong learning.
Kitchen to Garden Program
Garden Program (Years 2-4)
Our Garden Program, run with Cultivating Communities, gives Years 2-4 students hands-on experience growing plants and caring for animals. Students plant seeds, harvest vegetables, and look after our friendly chickens while learning about sustainability and nature. The program builds teamwork, responsibility, and a love of gardening and healthy, home-grown food.
